At Tribeca Flashpoint Academy, we help turn our students’ passions for art, storytelling, and digital media into real careers.

 

Unlike most traditional four-year art schools at which students spend much of their first two years learning theory and listening to lectures, TFA offers an intensive, hands-on, two-year curriculum in which students begin working with state-of-the-art equipment and software—and working alongside industry pros on real-world client projects—during their very first semester on campus.

 

Rooted in the belief that students learn best when actively immersed in and using the technology and tools of their trade, all of our programs require students to spend time not only in the classroom, but in our labs, studios, and in the field. Working largely in collaborative, cross-functional groups with students from other disciplines, our students learn to function as a team, think on their feet, and achieve challenging goals— all in an environment that closely mirrors the real-world production environment.

 

Through practical training in an apprenticeship-style setting, our programs equip graduates to step seamlessly into their careers in the real-world of digital media arts.
 

We offer evening, weekend, and weekday class times as well as a 15-month accelerated program. Classes begin in January, June, and September and applications are accepted year-round.
