Studio Manager
Tribeca Flashpoint Media Arts Academy is seeking a full-time Studio Manager to join our team. This fast-paced position will handle the day-to-day responsibilities related to setting-up and maintaining a multi-camera broadcast facility & cinema production studio.
RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

Serve as Studio Manager. Maintain and support the Academy’s film production studio & multi-camera broadcast facility.

Set-up and maintain both a traditional film studio and a multi-camera broadcast facility. This includes the lighting grid; power supply; electrical connections, and dimmer board.

Perform daily studio maintenance & engineering.

Maintain and perform repairs on gear used by staff and students in the equipment check-out area.

Serve as Instructor or co-teacher in television studio production courses as assigned. Work with students to ensure they are knowledgeable in proper gear procedures. Teach hands-on studio production class how to operate a multi-camera television studio.

Tear down and set-up stage, equipment, and other film/broadcast related items.

Keep detailed records of gear in use adhering to Academy policies.

Make recommendations on new gear & equipment purchases. Create detailed budgets and purchase recommendations. Must be flexible to rework budgets and purchases.

Maintain high end cameras, lighting & grip equipment.

Set-up production facilities for Academy events/projects. This may include early morning, evening hours, or weekends as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors Degree in Broadcast, Television Production, Communications or other related field.

5+ years of progressive broadcast studio production management.

5+ years experience in media production, program development, writing, news, or documentary production.

Demonstrated experience in field and studio production, including live broadcasts.

Prior experience setting up a broadcast space is required.

Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to present in front of small and large groups of people.

Excellent organizational and administrative skills.

Strong working knowledge of broadcast production equipment. Must be able to repair/troubleshoot broadcast production equipment.

Must be flexible of changing work schedules and events. Must be able to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
