Is TFA accredited?Yes! As of April 2011, TFA has been granted national accreditation by ACICS. Read our statement of accreditaton.
What kind of degree can you earn at TFA?Tribeca Flashpoint Academy offers Associate of Applied Science degree programs in five disciplines: Film + Broadcast, Recording Arts, Animation + Visual Effects, Game + Interactive Media, and Design + Visual Communication.
Is TFA affiliated with the Tribeca Film Festival in New York?TFA has a strategic partnership with Tribeca Enterprises, a diversified global media company based in New York City. Established in 2003 by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal and Craig Hatkoff, the company currently operates a network of branded entertainment businesses including the Tribeca Film Festival, Tribeca Film Festival International, Tribeca Cinemas and Tribeca Film, a distribution initiative. What are TFA's admissions requirements?TFA has a very personal admissions process that evaluates applicants across a number of criteria, both personal and academic.

When is the next application deadline for TFA?
To enroll at TFA during the 2012-2013 academic year and lock in 2012 tuition pricing, please adhere to the following application deadlines:
Does TFA offer continuing education or online classes?TFA does offer Accelerated Programs designed for students who have compeleted 60 credit hours or more of college coursework. Read more about TFA's 16-month Accelerated Programs. TFA does not offer online courses at this time.
Does TFA offer programs for high school students?Yes! TFAs High School Program is one-week program for current high school students (grades ten through twelve). Read more about TFA's High School Program.
Does TFA offer courses for actors or musicians?No. At this time we do not offer any programs for performing arts.
Does TFA guarantee employment after graduation?No, we do not guarantee employment after graduation.
What will my weekly time commitment be while I attend TFA?TFA offers full-time, 68-credit programs. We encourage students to expect a 40-hour/week time commitment that may extend beyond 9-5 when enrolling in any of our intensive collegiate programs.
How will I choose my class schedule?TFA’s coursework is automatically arranged to walk each student from their first year developing their creative process and gaining essential hard and soft skills, through the second year developing each student’s individual portfolio of work in their focused study track. Will I be required to take general education classes?With the exception of students in TFA's accelerated Professional Program, all students must completed required general education classes, or Core Studies classes. Core Studies courses are specifically designed to build upon and complement work in each student’s discipline. Can I double major at TFA?Because TFA offers a fast-paced, intensive and immersive program, a dual major is not possible.
Does TFA offer any career services?Yes. TFA has a Career Services department that helps train students in resume writing, professional practices, and interview skills, and develops ongoing relationships between TFA, its students, and key industry players. Will I be working on real-world, professional projects at Tribeca Flashpoint Academy?Yes! TFA students often work with experienced industry professionals on real world projects with industry partners. In the past, Tribeca Flashpoint students have worked on many large scale projects for internationally recognized companies and brands.
What materials (e.g. books, laptop, software) will I be required to purchase as an incoming student?The materials list for incoming students differs from discipline to discipline. To make sure each incoming student has the most up-to-date hardware and software available, discipline-specific materials lists will be mailed to all incoming students approximately one month before classes begin. We ask that students wait until their materials list arrives before they purchase a laptop or software.
Does Tribeca Flashpoint Academy offer campus housing?TFA has relationships with several shared dorms in downtown Chicago that provide housing for students. Read more about student housing.

What is TFA’s tuition, and is financial aid available?TFA prides itself on offering competitive tuition and financial aid. While total tuition for other media and arts institutions can exceed $85,000 over the course of their respective programs, tuition for Tribeca Flashpoint’s accelerated two year program is $50,000 total (or $25,000 per year). Additional fees include annual student fees ($250) and a one-time application fee ($150). To further curb the cost of education, TFA provides scholarships and various financial aid opportunities. Over 75% of our students have received some form of financial aid, including: (i) merit based scholarships (ii) loans for qualified students and (iii) GI benefits for qualified veterans. Can I use my G.I. Bill benefits to attend TFA?
